Hey, I'm Lydia!

I like playing in the sun and dirt, growing things and taking care of plant babies. When I’m not doing that, I’m watching E! or the  RHWOanywhere and thinking about how to make french fries burn fat (I've never met a french fry I didn’t love). I earned my level 1 crunchy hippie mom badge birthing my little man Mitt unmedicated (ya know, how everyone around the world does...) But I guess the internet liked it cuz our little birth story went viral- go figure.  I'm on a mission to keep myself and my family well, naturally and love and honor our Earth. I'm married to Ben and we are a blending family in progress. I'm loving on my growing tribe of sisterhood from all around the world, join us and stay connected.

Travel Blog: Things To Do In Jackson Hole, Wyoming

I recently went on a fabulous camper trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming with my family. This place was so gorgeous with so much for us to do, eat, and see! It totally inspired me to share with you all some things to do in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

On this last trip, we used our camper to stay around The Grand Tetons (https://www.nps.gov/grte/index.htm), and we also spent a day at Lake Louise! The Grand Tetons are part of the Rocky Mountains, and are an absolutely beautiful destination. One of my favorite parts of the Grand Tetons is Lake Louise. While Lake Louise is not technically part of Jackson Hole, it’s still worth visiting if you have the time. The hike is only moderate, and the view is once-in-a-lifetime gorgeous! However, if you’re not up for venturing out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, below are some other awesome things to do:

Jenny Lake - http://www.jacksonholetraveler.com/article/jenny-lake-grand-teton/ squaJackson Hole, Wyoming is THE spot for anyone that loves being around nature and all its beauty! One of the most popular spots to take in all this beauty is Jenny Lake. Whether you want to lodge there, or pass through for a hike and/or boat tour, you are sure to love it! There are several hiking trails that are great for any level hiker, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Jenny Lake is also one of only two lakes in Jackson Hole where motorboating is allowed. If you stay a while, you will have the choice of a classic campground, or lodging in your own cabin! If you’re in a camper like we were, the campground is the perfect place to park and chill. They also offer delicious fine dining to guests, but no worries if you’re just taking a day-trip--just make a reservation! Jenny Lake also has hiking access to another awesome nature spot: Inspiration Point. This short hike pays off with a stunning view of Jenny Lake and the rest of Jackson Hole. Read some cool details about Inspiration Point here: http://www.tetonhikingtrails.com/inspiration-point.htm

Persephone Bakery - https://persephonebakery.com/pages/menuJackson Hole, Wyoming has some truly amazing food! One of my favorite places is Persephone Bakery. They have a delicious and extensive breakfast, sandwich, and salad menu that is sure to satiate any craving. Their pastries and breads are also made fresh, by hand every day! Another great perk of Persephone Bakery is that you can get pretty much any kind of cup of coffee you could want! From an americano, cold brew, or a cortado, they’ve got it! You can even get a matcha latte or a cozy London fog--YUM! I would definitely say no trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming is complete without a visit to Persephone Bakery.

National Museum of Wildlife Art - https://www.wildlifeart.orgThis amazing museum has over FIVE THOUSAND exhibits that feature animals and wildlife from throughout time and around the globe! There is also a gift shop, gallery for kids (bonus: it’s interactive!), a restaurant, and an outdoor sculpture walkthrough. Another great feature of the national Museum of Wildlife Art is how it was built! Rather than changing the landscape to suit its size, they actually used the land as part of the structure. This place truly honors the beauty both in and around it with its unique architecture. Visiting this place is the perfect way to spend a relaxing day indoors. It also overlooks another fabulous treasure of Jackson Hole, Wyoming: the National Elk Refuge. (https://www.fws.gov/refuge/National_Elk_Refuge/about.html) This refuge ensures a safe place for elk to winter, as well as being a home for several endangered species.

These are just a few of the awesome things you can experience on a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming! Have you already been?? Let us all know below where your favorite destination was! Never been?? Feel free to ask some questions! I’d love to chat and help make your visit epic! <3
