Hey, I'm Lydia!

I like playing in the sun and dirt, growing things and taking care of plant babies. When I’m not doing that, I’m watching E! or the  RHWOanywhere and thinking about how to make french fries burn fat (I've never met a french fry I didn’t love). I earned my level 1 crunchy hippie mom badge birthing my little man Mitt unmedicated (ya know, how everyone around the world does...) But I guess the internet liked it cuz our little birth story went viral- go figure.  I'm on a mission to keep myself and my family well, naturally and love and honor our Earth. I'm married to Ben and we are a blending family in progress. I'm loving on my growing tribe of sisterhood from all around the world, join us and stay connected.

Maple Grove Hot Springs, Idaho

Maple Grove Hot Springs, Idaho

Recently, I visited the Maple Grove Hot Springs in Idaho, and it was AMAZING! So, I wanted to talk to you guys a little bit about my experience, and tell you some fun facts about this spot that I hope will inspire you to visit sometime soon!

The Springs

This beautiful spot in the Bear River Valley has been a source of geothermal activity for thousands of years. Plus, the hot springs that bubble up, as a result, have been used for their healing properties for just as long by the native tribes who have lived in the area. The source of the hot springs is a natural lithium mineral spring that feeds the pools you’ll find guests are able to enjoy 3 hours of soaking in. 3 whole hours! So amazing. There are 4 pools you can experience, and they are all super warm and comfortable, and filled with beneficial minerals that will do wonders for your body. The water is completely natural and untreated as well, so you don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals like chlorine.

The Maple Grove Hot Springs is also an absolutely gorgeous place to be in nature, and you’ll fall in love with the whole atmosphere. There is a beautiful mountain view, and perfect places to watch sunrises and sunsets. Plus, you might see some wildlife like deer, eagles, geese, osprey, pelican, swans, turkeys, and much more! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys bird watching, and seeing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat.

Another great thing about Maple Grove Hot Springs is that they offer some other great amenities as well! There is a community kitchen, fire pits, and even a snack bar for when you get a little hungry during your soak. You can also camp overnight at an under-the-stars campsite, fully furnished yurt, cabin, or canvas tent. There are also hiking trails, kayaking, paddle boarding, yoga, wellness classes, and more!
