Hey, I'm Lydia!

I like playing in the sun and dirt, growing things and taking care of plant babies. When I’m not doing that, I’m watching E! or the  RHWOanywhere and thinking about how to make french fries burn fat (I've never met a french fry I didn’t love). I earned my level 1 crunchy hippie mom badge birthing my little man Mitt unmedicated (ya know, how everyone around the world does...) But I guess the internet liked it cuz our little birth story went viral- go figure.  I'm on a mission to keep myself and my family well, naturally and love and honor our Earth. I'm married to Ben and we are a blending family in progress. I'm loving on my growing tribe of sisterhood from all around the world, join us and stay connected.

Top 5 Humane Pest Control Products for Your Garden

Top 5 Humane Pest Control Products for Your Garden

Even if you have a fenced-in yard, critters can often find their way in to take some nibbles from your garden. Many times, getting advice on how to deal with these pests can be a little extreme if you’re not looking to harm them. However, there are some super easy and humane ways to deter certain unwanted guests from helping themselves to your garden. Here are my favorite top 5 humane pest control products for your garden:

Chephon Upgraded Bird Scare Discs Set

These hanging discs are super easy to just hang up close to your garden, and they’re also very pretty! The sunlight will reflect off of these, and it helps keep birds away. I love these because they are so aesthetically pleasing, and they don’t really *look* like pest control tools. Grab some for yourself here!

Homarden Garden Scare Cats with Reflective Eyes

If you’re trying to keep cats and rodents out of your garden, these little guys are perfect. They have the same silhouette shape like a cat, and the eyes even reflect to fool animals into thinking your garden is already occupied. I really like these, especially during this time of year; they fit into the spooky Halloween vibes!

Here’s where you can get some of your own!

Plastic Owl

These guys are awesome at keeping away all kinds of critters, including birds. Since owls are natural predators for many garden pests, setting out these statues can do wonders! They’re pretty inconspicuous, too, so they won’t interfere with whatever aesthetic you might have going in your garden.

15-Inch Bird Repellent Reflective Scare Rods

These are also really pretty, reflective ornaments that deter birds from picking at your garden. The reflected sunlight confuses them and keeps them away without hurting or trapping them. If the larger, round reflectors from above weren’t your style, these are much sleeker, so I would definitely recommend giving them a try!

Here’s where you can grab yours!

De-bird Scare Tape

This stuff is great because you can pretty much stick it anywhere you need to! It works the same as the reflector ornaments, but it gives you a little more leeway for where you’d like it to be. As a result, it adds some super fabulous glamour to your garden while also keeping pests away! Get a roll here!

I hope these 5 humane pest control products for your garden help you keep your garden critter-free and beautiful! Also, let me know below if you have any humane pest control tips of your own! I would love to hear them!
