Hey, I'm Lydia!

I like playing in the sun and dirt, growing things and taking care of plant babies. When I’m not doing that, I’m watching E! or the  RHWOanywhere and thinking about how to make french fries burn fat (I've never met a french fry I didn’t love). I earned my level 1 crunchy hippie mom badge birthing my little man Mitt unmedicated (ya know, how everyone around the world does...) But I guess the internet liked it cuz our little birth story went viral- go figure.  I'm on a mission to keep myself and my family well, naturally and love and honor our Earth. I'm married to Ben and we are a blending family in progress. I'm loving on my growing tribe of sisterhood from all around the world, join us and stay connected.

Listwn, being WOKE about chemicals is actually pretty annoying. You dont think Id rather run into walmart and grab whatever the hell lyson bleachy cleaner? However, they are FULL of harmful chemicals and toxins we breathe in and absorb through our skin with every use. I mean, cancer causing, hormone ruining, sick making chemicals. sprayed all up in your kitchen and bathroom and babies highchair.

This is me giving you side eye, if you havent already switched your cleaners to non toxic.

Is Your Household Cleaner Toxic?

Lysol and bleach are household staples in most of our homes… They also hold some of the greatest dangers to our health and our family’s health.

Respiratory issues of all kinds and skin irritation are just the beginning of the long list of health issues that can arise from prolonged use of these chemicals.

While the labels do say that they can “kill 99.9% of bacteria,” it is also important to note that not all bacteria is actually bad! Only about one percent of all bacteria is actually the bad kind that makes us sick… The rest is good bacteria like the kind found inside us, and even on our skin! Good bacteria is actually a very important part of our bodily functions, and the development of our immune systems! So what can we use to get rid of bad bacteria safely?

My personal favorite is Thieve’s Essential Oil by Young Living. Thieve’s oil is safe to use on surfaces, your skin, and you can even eat it! Made with a mixture of cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus radiata, lemon, and clove oils; this oil smells like a dream too!

Thieve’s oil is perfect for making a homemade household cleaner. All you need is the oil, water, and a dark glass spray bottle! The ratio is one drop per ounce of water for regular cleaner, and two drops per ounce of water for a stronger version. This is a completely nontoxic mixture you can feel confident knowing it is safe for your whole family.

Its also really cheap. DM me for your bottle.

It also works fantastically as an air freshener! It has a warm, light, and spicy scent that permeates without overpowering your senses. It’s natural antibacterial properties also mean that you are disinfecting the rooms you spray it into as well.

Bonus Use: You can add it to tea as well for an immune-boosting and comforting drink the whole family will enjoy!

Thieve’s oil has sooooo many uses, it’s crazy! A natural disinfectant is only the beginning of all the ways you can utilize this oil in your home. Feel free to let me know your favorite ways to use Thieve’s oil in your home! I would love more excuses to use it lol.
